Harriet showed a really cute picture of her son and it made me think of mine. There's quite a bit of age difference between our children and my mind is mush most of the time, but I still had to chuckle. This picture is what her son's feet are going to turn into:
Troy just bought a new pair of boots...Ariat, size 13. Yep, Harriet....just wait. You're gonna spend a lot of money on hamburger before you get there!

What's a JD tractor without a hood ornament? This shedder's name is DC and was taking advantage of the tractor setting still. It's up high and if you're not careful, he's in the cab trying to help.
September is here and that means it's almost time to plant wheat. Hard Red Winter Wheat--and we have almost one thousand acres to plant. Today it rained and we never cuss a rain...just makes another day to catch up on the other things that need to be done--like SEWING!

Love these farm pics :) I am jealous LOL xoxo melzie
I think the cat is pretending to be the Deer that's running behind him on the John Deere logo... can't you jsut see the far off look in his eyes?
Either that or there's some residual warmth from the motor, where he's laying... lol
Nice pictures!
Love the photos -- particularly the boots.
How long will the hood ornament stay there once the tractor is started up? *s*
Hard to imagine that those sweet looking little boys from that recent post have grown up into big people! My son is peering over my shoulder and fascinated with the JD machinery ... I purchased some JD fabric recently, I should get sewing on it.
*hugs*

Great farm pictures. Good luck with the wheat and the rain. I have a son who went through many hamburgers to have feet that size, too. =)
Great cat; he certainly has a nice environment with that great big farm to explore. My son just got a pair of size 13 shoes, too. It's a shocker to see these children get so huge.
Having lived in suburbia all my life, I love to hear your farm stories and see your pictures. It is a whole new world to me and a fascinating one. Thanks for sharing.
Your cat on the tractor is so cute. Good luck with the wheat planting, hope you get all the rain you need at the right time, and none at the wrong time.
