Yes, I'm alive. I think I'm alive. This past week has been hard on this old woman, but the pain meds are working and the Morphine is out of my system.
Did you know there's absolutely nothing on television during the day? When you're a couch-lizard for several days, one can get sick of home-decorating shows and food shows--does somebody actually eat that stuff? And, who put Rachel Ray and Martha on at the same time?
Since I can set at my computer for more than five minutes at a time, thought I'd post some pictures from the past few weeks.

Roses from a hospital-birthday-day.

One of my favorite peeping-Toms.

Here's the finished (with binding and a label) log cabin.

It's very scrappy...and has some very ugly/weird stuff in it, but it works. It will be given away this saturday.

The guys welding in the shop. One welder in this shop, so the other two wait.

Didn't figure out what he was measuring, but it came out square.

Taking the front/south concrete porch off from the old house. SOMEDAY...it'll be gone.

Burning wheat stubble. This year we burnt almost all of the wheat fields after we harvested them. We had a lot of spring rains, which meant we had a lot of wheat-stalks/plants.

A early morning visitor I had one day. There were three of these little critters and I could hear them before I could see them.
Lunch is cooking and if I'm not back to being a couch-lizard this afternoon, I may venture into the sewing room.

What an awesome hummer picture! I just saw one in my garden the other day too.
I like your peeping Tom! I actually had one at my apt when I was first married, for real. Scared the ----out of me!! Yours is kinda furry and cute = )
I'm glad to see you're still alive. Don't over do it.
A, Cutie cat
B, love the log cabin
C, I have cooked some of those things (Including tonights dinner)
not many mind you, but some
D, I like to watch Game Show Network - during the day they have circa 1970's shows!
E, I saw a machine "pooping" bales of hay yeaterday - TEE HEE
F, 20 week sonogram tomorrow
G, take it easy!
I agree day time TV is not very good. I just leave mine on a news show and figure I will hear the latest of practically everything thru out the world.
Loved the log cabin quilt. It maybe scrappy but it certainly has appeal. It is saying it wants to loved and cuddled...just like a human likes loving and cuddling.
Get to feeling back to 100%.
Stay cool...
Amelia (in the other part of the state)
Hope you'll be back to your old self soon. Love hummingbirds..could watch them for hours. Much more entertaining than most tv!
Glad you're recuperating well.... enjoy the drugs. ;)
As for TV, I have one thing to say:
The Young and The Restless
Take care!
Oh, I was getting ready to call you....I was worried. Are you not healing as quickly as you should? I'm glad to see you posted.
Thanks for sharing the pictures! Hope you are feeling better *real* soon!
I knew something had to be wrong for you not to be posting as often. I just figured you were a farming! I hope you're feeling better real soon! The quilt looks great, the cat is cute and I love the birds. Now, as far as TV during the daytime goes, forget that. Go to QuiltersTV.com and watch some free quilt shows on your computer! Kay Woods has a site too and I can tell you what that is later. Get some rest! Hugs, Linda
Sounds like a busy summer on the farm! I'm reading back quite a few posts. I've been so absent from blog reading the last couple of months - hoping to catch up with what you've been doing!
I'm glad you are feeling better! Beautiful roses. wonderful quilt. One of the reasons I like the log cabin is that you can put anything in it and it all looks good. That hummingbird picture at the bottom is priceless! That would make a gorgeous greeting card.
Keep resting even if daytime TV is boring - you need it! I hope you feel much better very soon. Love your scrappy log cabin - one of my all-time favorite patterns!
Cheers!
Evelyn
Nice blog! From a farmer and a quilter in Norway. You really got a big farm!
I love the quilt! I'm working on quilting a log cabin myself and it is going so SLOW!! I hand quilt and I just can't find the time to work on stuff much. Though I need to find time to make a few quilt tops and work on getting the stash in my sewing closet down a bit.
Are you good as new yet? :) Love all the pictures. That humming bird is pretty neat!
Glad you're feeling better. The pictures are wonderful, I especially loved the last one. The log cabin is awesome. Keep getting better.
