Difference in a day....

Difference in one day to the next!

Somebody made a comment about my dog being outside during the snowstorm. I was gonna say that he (Andy) has three different buildings (including our house) that he can go into or he can stay in the Igloo house with 8 cats keeping him warm. BUT...then I think about the saying my Mama use to say when people said things out of turn... "they need to sweep in front of their own doorstep before they sweep in front of anybody elses". Yep....I was gonna say that.
Even Gray-cat thinks it's too cold to come out and play! He's one of the main "heaters" in Andy's doghouse.

If they didn't even have the courage to leave their name, then just ignore them. Some animals won't come in no matter what! He is sheltered and has warm hay to lay one (not to mention all the other animals for body heat).

I love your little embroidery blocks, back a post or two.

That's a huge difference in photos! There aren't too many animals who are so stupid they can't find a warm spot when they want one.

LOL! 8 cats and a dog in there must be warm. (That was a pretty rude comment.)

I love your embroidery blocks. That will be such a cute quilt.

BRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!! We had snow, but yours looks brutal. I love the pictures. Isn't sunshine great?

How funny - Andy has 8 kitty heaters & I have 2... One for under the blanket & 1 to make sure the blanket dosn't move! (She is a blanket weight.)

This is the rude person who obviously doesn't have animals....and doen't understand them. Well, I have 3 dogs, 2 Golden Retrievers and 1 Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. They live the house with us and do not even have a dog house-they wouldn't ever need one. Two sleep in the bed with me, the other in a bed by the side of my bed and we take them camping and to any beach houses that we rent. I take the for "bye byes" whenever it isn't to hot or cold.

I have always had dogs and support the local shelter on a monthly basis. Some counties will not even allow dogs to be tied out with a dog house. Dogs are pack animals who want to be with their pack which is us. If a dog is raised in the house they may enjoy the outdoors but will still in the end want to be with their humans!

I did not mean to offend anyone but to see the picture of an dog in the igloo with straw and pail for water( I assume) does not give the indication that the dog is allowed in the house. I was reacting to the sadnees that I felt when I saw the picture.

So please accept my apologies and I am so glad to see that the dog can be inside with you!

Igloo dog houses are better insulated than most homes. Yeah that anonymous is one bright bulb alright. What a moron!
Our Lab would lay in the snow and sleep all night long. Get up shake the ice off and run off to jump in the creek.

Cathy in Midlothian, Va --
If you wou'dve read my blog before, I've commented about my dogs, my cats and my heard of cattle. Making sure animals are protected is a big deal to us here on the farm. Andy is a big part of our lives and if he would've wanted in the house, he would've knocked me down wanting in. His Igloo is a lot warmer with the heaters than our old plaster house we live in.
You don't have a public blog, or I'd visit yours. You're welcome to come back and visit anytime, but don't assume the worse of me untill you've read more than one post.

I won't take up anymore of your blog but I wanted to say to you that you are completely correct. I had no business saying what I did until I had read all of your blog and I can tell that you love your animals dearly!!!

I feel just awful and have learned a big lesson from this. I am 51 but sometimes I just jump to conclusions and had no right.

I am very sorry about Trudi....see I really don't know anything do I?
I can see how special she was to you and how hard it is to have had to let her go.

Your family is beautiful and your quilts are beautiful also. I hope you don't mind my checking in to see your blog from time to time.

Again, please forgive me,
Cathy
I am not a moron Cindy, I jst don't know anything know about doghouses!

So how much snow did you get then? It looks like it was drifting out there.

Those embroidered blocks are gorgeous, Saska.

I have to agree that Cathy's moronic post was very insulting to you. You showed real class OklaCookiemaker in your response.

That sky is amazing. We get similar weather over here, only not so cold. We are yet to have our cold spell. Coming up for the middle of December and the lemon tree, oleanders and tubs are still outside.
