Simple Apron

When I went to Houston, I picked up some 1/2yard pieces of citrus fabric knowing I would make something for my DIL. She hinted that she'd like to have an apron and I found the perfect fabric for one.

I ended up only using two of the pieces and saved the lemon piece. She can make something out of it later. There are some decent sized scraps and I may (time willing) put them together for a hotpad or potholder.

Since nobody in my household would model, I used a flannel shirt hanging up instead.
ONE homemade gift for Christmas.
...at least the tree is up!

Several of you have asked...DH is lots better. He still has a inhaler that he uses several times a day, and still isn't 100% but he's doing much better.
Thanks!

What a lovely apron! I think we all get the idea that we have to make everything we give--it just can't happen that way with our busy lives. I know I always plan on making more things to give away than I can finish. *LOL*

Saska, did you use a commercial pattern for this apron? I have one that I bought that is similiar but I need a spare for when mine is in the wash--like every other day. The citrus fabric is fun and I could see hot pads made from it.

Sorry to hear that your husband got strep and then pneumonia. That darned creeping crud seems to have taken that course with people I have talked to. Hope you are staying well.

I'm so glad to hear that your DH is better. How awful to be so sick any time, but especially this time of year. Wishing you and your family a wonderful holiday and health and happiness for the new year.
