When I went to Houston, I picked up some 1/2yard pieces of citrus fabric knowing I would make something for my DIL. She hinted that she'd like to have an apron and I found the perfect fabric for one.
I ended up only using two of the pieces and saved the lemon piece. She can make something out of it later. There are some decent sized scraps and I may (time willing) put them together for a hotpad or potholder.
Since nobody in my household would model, I used a flannel shirt hanging up instead.
ONE homemade gift for Christmas.
...at least the tree is up!
Several of you have asked...DH is lots better. He still has a inhaler that he uses several times a day, and still isn't 100% but he's doing much better.
Thanks!

What a lovely apron! I think we all get the idea that we have to make everything we give--it just can't happen that way with our busy lives. I know I always plan on making more things to give away than I can finish. *LOL*
It's a very cute apron, and I love the fabric. I feel sure your DIL will love it!

What a pretty sunny apron. It would brighten anyone's day.
Such perfect fabric for an apron.
I hope your husband is all better and over his pneumonia now.
Very cute apron! I love that citrus fabric.
Very cute--I understand aprons are coming back in vogue! Who would have thunk it?! Hope your DH is better.
Saska, did you use a commercial pattern for this apron? I have one that I bought that is similiar but I need a spare for when mine is in the wash--like every other day. The citrus fabric is fun and I could see hot pads made from it.
Sorry to hear that your husband got strep and then pneumonia. That darned creeping crud seems to have taken that course with people I have talked to. Hope you are staying well.
Cute fabric!
Mama,
That is WAY TOO CUTE! I am sure she will love and get much use from it :)
The apron is really cute in that fabric.
Glad your husband is doing better.
Lovely fabric - makes me think of Summer. Glad your husband is better now.
Sad to hear that hubby is so sick. Good that he is on the mend.
I like the fabric and the apron.
A simple (and lovely) apron can be the start of so many joyful (and delicious) moments in a family ! What a lovely present !
Smiles,
NADINE
I'm so glad to hear that your DH is better. How awful to be so sick any time, but especially this time of year. Wishing you and your family a wonderful holiday and health and happiness for the new year.
