Every year 'bout this time, we head north-east on the turnpike to the Tulsa State Fair. Since we have a very-active ag-student in our presence, we'll spend a few days up there.
I usually get a few inspiring pictures of the quilt display and sometimes get to visit Material Girls. This year my traveling companion (aka husband) is going to be itching to get back home to swath and bale hay before the freeze visits, so my quilting visits may be cut short.
I am packing my embroidery work so hopefully I'll get a lot of it done. Good idea, but we'll see how it flies. I've already printed out a map of the stops I'm going to request, so there may not be too many minutes setting. I've got swatches of some fabric that I'm going on a hunt for too. That's what I get for not buying enough when I was shopping the first time. Three Hancock's in one town!....how do those Tulsa girls survive?!
Last year it rained and rained, but this year we're having record hot temps. Guess that's Oklahoma for ya! Everybody have a good week.
I've made some changes to the scene...anybody notice?!

Have fun at the state fair. Love your windmill and dancing flower.
I asked my friend here when they plant wheat and they do it in October.

Have fun at the fair! Does the windmill represent one on your own farm?
Blog looks great :) Have fun at the fair, take lots of pics for it. I lived in OK when I was in 3rd grade, went to Lone Star Elementary I believe outside Sapulpa. My teacher was Mrs. Tomaselli. I was the top reader and on my last day there I got to pick the Pete's Dragon book I had my eye on and got stung by a bee on the merry go round at recess. Then my mom pulled me out and we moved again. The end LOL.
Have fun at the fair! I love going to the fair!
You know my answer to a get- there fast- and - get- back -home- fast DH. Go in separate vehicles! I like the windmill.

The windmill is a keeper. I actually got to see them when we visited our daugher in Kansas. Our plane landed in OOOOOOklahoma......where the wind comes whistling or'e the plane. And the waving wheat it sure smells sweet.....
you get the idea.....
Enjoy the State Fair........... And the fabric shopping

Sure did notice---not all dark around here!! Thanks for the homespuns offer---think I have enough but you never know, LOL.
I love the windmill. Sounds like a good idea to have all your stops sorted out ready, that way you can say "I know exactly where it is, and I won't take long as I know exactly what I want". Then once you get in there... well, what can he do? Have fun
Hello, my name is Pam. I am just new to visiting your blog.
Have fun at the State Fair. That "Material Girl" website is a great website. The Amy Butler fabric they have is beautiful. Thanks for adding the link for it.
