Nothing but Hot

It's Hot..it's past hot...

In Lawton, Oklahoma it was 120º on the bank sign. We do believe it don't we? We have to make payments to them and believe every other number they give us, so their temperature sign must be correct also.

I heard on the national news that every one of the lower states saw above 90º temperatures this week, so I know we're not alone. Dh says there's a 70% chance it's NOT going to rain this weekend.....typical farmer. All of his hay is baled and stacked, so he's now ready for a good soaking rain. Somebody tell whoever's in charge, ok?

I'm still plugging away on the bullseye blocks. We have one gone to camp, so I'm the official "come and help me for a second" person in the evenings. Leaves very little sewing time, but I'll get there.....eventually.

Assumption: the a/c works better if you clean the screens.

I hear ya with the heat! And guess what - we just had 3 days without AC! We were on the repairman's list and finally, yesterday got to the top and got AC back late yesterday. We thought we were something in the cool last night.
Send me the instructions for the stack and whack star pattern you gave me please. Stay cool!

We've been hot and dry here too (central Canada). I haven't seen rain since early June -- more than 6 weeks of hot and dry. The crops are all looking a little parched, my garden and lawn (if you call dead grass that) have cracks more than 6 inches deep in them so if you find a rain dance that works, let me know :-)

Gosh - -that is hot. It is hot here, but not that hot - I only run the A/C about 1 hour before my son goes to bed and then turn it off again about 11 pm. I think I would wear the unit out though if I lived with the temperatures you have - yikes! Stay cool.

Farming and fishing - 2 very hard occupations as so much is out of your control, no matter how much work and effort you put in on your end.

Cheers!
