Harvest officially started yesterday....yes, WHEAT harvest. If you see a wild-woman driving a red truck...yep, it's me!
What's ironic? We FINISHED wheat harvest this time two years ago. Different growing seasons make all the difference. But, we've also doubled the acres we're farming. **heavy sigh**
Will post some pictures when I get a chance. I'm working half-days trying to keep the paycheck coming in and trying to keep the laundry and dishes caught up.

Hello! Found you a couple weeks ago from some other blog. Its so nice to find other farmwives. I'm a wanna-be quilter (I have a few unfinished things laying around, but really haven't had time to so much as unbury the machine lately).
Good luck with your harvest! We don't have any wheat, we are busy plowing now so we can plant later this month.
Great picture!
Good luck with the harvest. Looking forward to more updates. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you on the weather...
Hey girl, good luck on the harvest and I'll have my fingers crossed too. Wild woman driver in a red truck huh? That speaks of more than 1/2 the populatin in Oklahoma. I think you need to be a little more specific than that!
By the way, are you ever going to tell us or show us what was for Mother's Day, Ms Farmer? Hugs, Linda
Wouldn't it just be easier to harvest the wind...
nevermind, I like to eat wheat products just as much as the next guy!
Must be time for your famous biscuits, huh?
I won't come to your part of the state during harvest...I don't want to see a wild woman driving a truck...hang in there with trying to do all these many things at one time.
Hugs from my part of Oklahoma

hope you can get some more harvest pics taken........
It is hard dusty work and what a feeling of satisfaction when it is done. Now if your red truck is anything like our farm truck it has a few quirks, like you can only start it in a certain way and be careful where you sit or you might get poked, etc.
PB in MN where I wish it would warm up and stop raining so we can finish our delayed planting season.
I sure hope that you aren't in the path of the storms that are threatening, over <- that way...
Good luck on your harvest. (and I want you to know that I really appreciate all your hard work, out in the field. (AND in your red truck!))
Take care and be well. don't forget to breathe...

Hope the harvest goes well! Don't work too hard ~ Jeanne
I clicked back to your post 2 years ago and had to smile at your little comment wondering if you would be welcomed to the world of Blogging! I am so glad that you are still at it because I really enjoy your posts! Good luck with that harvest!
Cheers!
