Construction Progress

Monday started with one wall:

Tuesday ended with a lot of walls and corners and closets added!

Notice the guard dog out on duty.....he's waiting on the guys to take their breaks. He get all leftovers!

**EDIT** If you click on the second photo, you can (barely) see a mobile home to the left side of the big tree--up on the hill. That's gonna be our new neighbors...right after the wedding in August!

Isn't it amazing how fast framing goes? This is exciting. Hope you have plenty of sunny days to move it along.

I answered your question about the bargello right under your comment.

The construction really looks like it is coming along well. By this time next week I bet the roof is on and siding too?

Those clouds look pretty formidable in the Monday picture. I am beginning to think that it will take a hurricane for us to get any rain. You finally drying out some?

How much fun it must be to watch your new house go up! And glad your new bedroom will afford you some darkness away from the blinking lights! Loved the "threat" from one of the construction workers about the quilt!

Looks like it is coming along nicely. Now the fun part is coming soon -- picking out all the new interior things - enjoy!

Progress, nothing like it! The dog is one smart cookie, waiting for handouts! Are you excited about having neighbors?

It will be interesting to compare our two houses and how they go up, considering yours is stick built, without a basement and ours is so different.

Wow, that is some fast work. How exciting!

I wish the guys here worked as fast as that. I agree with you about the noise the wind towers make. We haven't got them up here, but they have further south near Carcassone. The noise is horrendous!

Exciting to see some progress on the house. It looks like it will be fairly big. Nice big sewing room planned?

Did you get rained on last night? Boy, did we get a soaking here in the NW part of Edmond! Unbelievable storms rolled through for a long time!
I just read a past post about your son's upcoming wedding. Congratulations!! Enjoy the process. I think that I've recovered from our weddings last week. My hopes of jumping right back into quilting hasn't worked out yet...too busy organizing the HUNDREDS of digital photos from many sources from the weddings. What a treasure these photos are...the memories made last week are priceless!
