We've had upper 70's today and when the sun came out, I couldn't resist being outside for awhile.
This is going to be a birthday present for my middle son next month. It'll probably be too warm to use (the back is flannel), but I'm sure he'll still claim it.

I know I've talked about this quilt before, but it's a Bonnie at Quiltville.com design and quilted by Bonnie at Quiltville.com too. Her work is first class and she was great to work with.
The picture was taken at MY house tho! Barn by Koch-design?
I'm going to be gone for the next four days attending Troy's last stock show of the season in Oklahoma City. I know I have about 60 visitors a day with only a dent of those commenting, but if ANYBODY cares that I'm not around......I'll be back next week.

Ok, did you use the same fabrics in the 4 pataches or make it scrappy too? I'm trying to figure out how to connect my 4 patches made for this quilt WITHOUT reading the directions. Mine have one constant fabric and one variable. I can't decide what to use in the bricks. LOVE! LOVE yours!!!!
Wow - it came out great! I love the look of the baptist fan quilting on all those straight cuts. Great! I often back my quilts in flannel - my Little Boy likes things snuggly soft! Have a good trip away - we all will still be here when you return!
Cheers!

I'm making one of those, too. Its buried somewhere among the WIPs and UFOs while I complete some class projects. Yours is wonderful. I wish Troy great success at the show.
Great quilt! I especially love the picture with the farm in the background. I know your son will treasure it always.
Have a great trip!

It is a great quilt - and a great pattern. I love the picture of it with the barn and outbuildings in the background, and the blue sky.
Have a good trip. We will await your return :)) Good luck with the stock show.
Just because we read and don't comment, doesn't mean we don't CARE! :::big grin:::: I think I want to do bricks and cornerstones for my next leaders/enders project. I'm doing a RWB double 4 patch right now. Have a great trip!
The Baptist fans look great on this - I am so please that I finally splurged for the template for my longarm. I think I've done 4 quilts with it already.
The quilt looks just wonderful, and the picture outside shows off Bonnie's quilting wonderfully!
We'll see you in a week or so, I hope all goes well with the stock show.
*hugs*

Have safe travel...and I'll miss you!
Wonderful quilt! Perfect for a guy.
I made a quilt a couple years back and my son asked me if he bound it if he could keep it. Now that's quite a deal, especially since binding is my least favorite part! lol!

I am horrible about leaving comments, I know. Beautiful quilt!
I love your quilt. How is the doggy fitting in? Love the windmill in the pic too!
Good for you - yours is nearly finished, and it looks great. I have the guilts as mine aren't done yet - fancy that! I must stop knitting and start sewing.
Great quilt - and the way its displayed is just perfect - wish I could display mine against that background.
