I was persuaded to show this by Gail @ Quite Quilted. She asked about the iron-on transfers and we found them online so she could get a copy too. This was a fun quilt to make. I worked on this in the evenings and even drug the blocks along at stock shows. Oh yeah...these blocks even went to Houston with me!
I've shown this in the flimbsy stage, but since it's been quilted, I'll show it again. The quilt was given away last saturday at a baby shower and my niece was the lucky recipient.

I'll definitely make another embroidered quilt. This was fun and different to make.

Oh how wonderful! I'm not even a fan of pastel quilts or 30s quilts but I just love this one. The embroidery blocks are just perfect in it.
It's adorable ! And you are absolutely right to make another one : you're very good at it !

Oh, I'm so glad that Gail talked you into showing it. It's absolutely adorable! What a delightful gift!
Thanks so much for sharing - I know everyone who looks at this pretty little quilt is going to love it! ((((HUGS))))
This is an adorable quilt - the embroidery adds such a great touch. Thank you for sharing it.
Oh, I really love this quilt! Are the blocks still available online? I would love to make this. At least I want to save the picture for inspiration on how to set other embroidered blocks together.
Oh it's great! I love embroidery and have a redwork quilt in my head that would like to get out.
That is so cute - and it turned out beautifully. The embroidery blocks are just perfect with the 30's fabric.
I love this - the color the pattern - everything. I guess this first thing I thought when I saw it (and I hope you'll tell your friend) is "My Grandmother would be most impressed." And that is truly a compliment....
I just think this is the cutest quilt...I love the vintage look it has....Thanks for sharing. Toni
I just love that quilt. So pretty and you did a fantastic job on it.
That is one lucky mom and baby. A treasured gift for generations to enjoy !
The photos of the individual blocks are sooo sweet! Your niece must have loved opening that present!!! You did a great job. My Mom used to like to embroider...
Cheers!

Your stitching on the quilt is just beautiful. I'm a big fan of SBS and 30's prints. Embroidery is my second love next to quilting. It must have been so hard to give it away, so yes, you must make another one.
What a treat it is for us to see this quilt. I love the SBS and the colors. An adorable quilt for a child!
This quilt is right up my alley--I LOVE IT--I'm so glad you shared a picture of it.
That is one great quilt! The colours are wonderful, and I love the way the embroidered and the pieced blocks complement one another! Congratulations on work very well done!!!
This quilt is soooo cute! Wow! It makes me want to get my 30's fabrics and embroidery thread out! Love it!
What an adorable quilt! I hope that there is a little girl in your life at some point that you can make the next one for. Three boys, right?
