Tomorrow at this time, I'll be on a chartered bus and headed south to Houston. Since I've never had this opportunity and don't know quite what to expect I'm going with high expectations and my credit card!
My roommate has never gone either, and after she called me last night I told DH it was going to be like two country-girls hitting the big town!
It's going to be a 8 to 9 hour drive so my bag is going to have some embroidery work, a book, and some headache medicine. I can visualize needing all three but not for sure of the order.
I'm hoping to come home with inspiration. Have a feeling it might be overwhelming, but I'm willing for that to happen.
Comfortable shoes, digital camera, cell phone, credit card, and a change of underwear. What else does a gal need?!

Have fun in Houston. I have been twice - 2000 and 2002. I really want to go back - and have family in the area so it wouldn't be horribly expensive. How many days are you staying?
Sounds like you have gathered the perfect travel kit. Enjoy! Hope you find lots of really fun things.
Have a wonderful, glorious, unforgettable, motivating, fun, happy time!
Can't wait to hear all about it!
Have a wonderful time, have fun, take lots of photo's and buy some nice goodies for yourself. Can't wait to hear all about your trip next week.
Having done the show several times sime I moved here I can tell you your high expectations will be met and your credit card maxed out when you return home. LOL! The only thing I can think that you left off your list of necessities is a fire extinguisher to put out the fire in your purse started by the smoking credit card. Have fun. I almost wish I was going this year but I'm just not up to all the walking this year.
Have a fabulous time! And be sure you have lots of room in your luggage or you'll need another suitcase for your purchases. I'd love to go again - the one time I went was an incredible experience. I hope you take lots of picturs to share!

Hope you have a marvelous time, and find all the inspiration, and more, that you can use. Sounds like you are prepared!
Be sure to have the very best time, I've heard it's a quilter's paradise!
*hugs*

Ohhh, you forgot chocolate! :)
Oh I can't wait till you get back to hear what you thought of the trip and all. Hope you had a grand time!
We just moved from Houston to Korea..hubby is Air Force. I sure did miss going to the show this year. I found your blog on the stash quilts site and I read about you losing your beloved dog. I also have a faithful friend and I'm just droping you a note to tell you that I'm sorry for your loss. Only another person who has been blessed with love from a four legged friend can understand the pain of losing one. You're in my thoughts new friend.
