Strawberries

I've been talking about wanting to do a strawberry bed where the old house use to be. No, not the size of the old house, but maybe a patch.

Well...things don't get done around my house unless I push. Sometimes it's a push on myself, but I have 50 Cardinal strawberry plants ordered....and so now I have to push the other folks on the farm to get the place ready for them to go in.

It's still very dry here, but since my raindance won't do any good....I'll keep watering.

Good luck with your strawberries. Mom had a strawberry bed when I was a kid.

I love fresh strawberries too. I would love to grow some too. I can't believe y'all haven't had rain. We've had a good bit.

Hi, I'm new to your blog; I've been thumbing through seeing all your beautiful quilts. You've done some very pretty work!
If ya'll aren't getting anymore rain than we are down here in Texas, you better start a raindance or pull out the water hose. Those strawberries will be wonderful; I grew some for a couple of years in a raised, pyramid shaped bed, and the results were great. The yield wasn't much the first year, but then they took off and it was great!
Thanks for stoppin' by my place, come back for a visit anytime.

I've never been able to get strawberries going. If they bother to grow at all, the critters beat me to the berries!

That is so funny, great minds think alike! I just turned and dug a bed, added my compost, and planted lots of strawberries! Hope they turn out well...
