We moved Mom and Dad to the Ronald McDonald House and it's a good feeling to know that they're safe and close to Rachel. If you're ever asked to donate to a RMH don't hesitate to do so..it's such a good place for parents to stay.
Rachel needs to gain a few more grams and she'll be back up to 2lbs. She's like most babies and lost a little, which she doesn't need to do. They've tried milk a few times and sometimes she can digest it and sometimes she can't. The nurses watch her constantly so she's getting the best of care.
We call her little incubator a Terrarium. It's such a controlled environment, it's just the perfect place for her to stay until she gets stronger.
I got home about 9pm last night and was in bed before 10. It feels good to have clean underwear and socks!
Keep praying....she's stable and growing and we want her to grow and get strong!

I will continue my prayers for baby Rachel and your family. At times you feel so helpless...
Do keep us aware of her current being.

I'm so glad that she's is both stable and growing. What weight does she have to me to go home?
Hugs

So sweet... so tiny. Know that my prayers are with y'all... and especially the medical staff taking care of Rachel.
Grow baby grow! I am of course thinking of and praying for that precious little one.
Continuing to pray for babe and family. I know she is surrounded with love.
Rachel is amazing! Keeping you all in my thoughts ~

My daughter spent amost 6 months in Ronald McDonald House while her infant son was in Intensive Care at Vanderbilt University, Nashville. He needed a heart transplant - not many infant hearts around, and unfortunately he did not survive. We spent a LOT of time at Ronald McDonald House - in and out for almost 6 months, God Bless that establishment. I have named them in my will. We could not have managed without that back-up to a terrible nightmare.
My goodness, I am so selfish - did not even comment about your good news!! Bless you all, and hope that child comes home very soon!
