A few pictures from the past week. (Neen...i'm alive, but barely!)
Not every combine driver wears boots! This one lives in flipflops!

Number one semi-truck driver!

and the truck that he drives.
He's also good at cleaning out the rock-trap. "MOM?....you're driving too close to the ground!"
Every morning starts with getting the filters blown off and spending about $800 on diesel...yes, that's not a misprint.

Farm Vehicles are suppose to have this symbol on the back of them---CAUTION--WE MOVE SLOW! The symbol is starting to show it's age...kind of like the rest of us we all get wrinkly from being out in the sun.

More pictures this afternoon......we had yet another rain cloud come thru so we're shut down for a day or so.

How fun to see these photos! Can't wait for more! Don't work too hard.

Great toes--- speaking from someone with very ugly feet.
Wow! You're a busy family - hope the weather clears up quickly so that you can get back to work. In the meantime though, rest up.
I have so much respect for you, for being able to do all that you do...it looks like such a huge task.
Just send that rain down here so you can get back to work! LOL!
Very cool pics, thanks for sharing!
So, do you catch heck for not wearing the right shoes? I do everytime I wear sandles in the combine or tractor. I have two sons who are really good at cleaning out that rock trap, especially in soybeans when you have to drive the head close to the ground. Good luck with the rest of the harvest.
PB in MN waiting for corn growing weather (heat).
With diesel being over $5 a gallon here in Canada - oh I do feel so very badly for the farmers and fishermen who really need it in order to work. The rest of us can cut back on running around, combine our errands, etc., but the farming and fishing must go on! Hang in there!
Cheers!
Evelyn
loving your harvest pics........
Love the painted toes in the flip flops pic! You quilt and drive a combine! Impressive! ;)
