After Christmas

If I ever have to move again in this lifetime--it's too soon. Can I say that I NEVER want to move again?!

Not a thing got broke...that I know of anyway. I have the best boys and DILs who came and helped. The first picture--the crystal in the cabinet too us 3 hours to move (in the snow)...one piece at a time. That picture also shows my un-painted front door. When/if it ever warms up, we'll paint again.

The second one is my kitchen....I love this kitchen. There was five of us working in this kitchen and we never were in each other's way. Have you priced bar-stools lately? Ohmy...that's on the list to buy

I had twenty four show up for Sunday supper. We set out an extra long table at the end of ours and we all sat around it. It was a lot of fun...a lot of work, but it was the first time that everybody could come.

This is a project I'm working on for my DIL. She passed her U.S. Citizenship test and will taking the oath in January. When I get time to quilt it, I think it'll make a nice table runner or decoration for a table in her livingroom. The star is from Bonnie's Quiltville site. Not hard to make, was just hard keeping all the pieces together during the move!

Hope everybody had a good Christmas. I've enjoyed my 6 days off and will return to work for a two-day work week tomorrow.

Happy, Happy Day to you, finally in your new house - what a relief that must be. How do you manage to actually SEW during all of this upheaval?

I'm so glad to hear you're settled, and were able to host everyone for Christmas.
Enjoy the short week, and your DIL is going to LOVE it (tablerunner or decoration)!!

Whew!!!! You got moved and got everything set up in the new house and cooked and fed 24 people? You are my new hero!!!! I mean it!!!!

Glad the new kitchen passed "The Test." That will help, immensely, for years to come!

Check out Overstock.com for bar stools...

I think, after your two day work week, this week, you ought to just get home, flop down and concentrate on inhaling and exhaling til next year!!!! There HAS to be some reward for all this, for you! LOL

Ditto neen - you're my hero! Congratulations, it had to be wonderful to be able to have your family all there, even with all the work. It's beautiful, and you deserve it - it's been a long time coming!

Congratulations! Moving at this time of year takes some forbearance (even if it is so close)! Love the string-pieced stars in the table runner.

The table runner is beautiful - as is your new home! - and so appropriate for a brand new US citizen. I'm sure she will love it.
