It's Wednesday. Only Wednesday? The days are going by fast actually, but this week is full of deadlines and I'm behind.....as usual.
House update: The tile I picked out for the kitchen floor is discontinued, so I picked out another one. Oh wait...they found enough of my tile in a warehouse in Florida if I still want it. But....the wood laminate is discontinued--Pick out another shade. I'm scared to pick out carpet.
The cabinets are all in and the trim carpenter will be here next week. When he's done then the stainer will come. (I call him the Stain-Master)--he's an old friend.
Sinks are picked out, but not for sure yet on cabinet tops. Appliances are in the garage. Bricker will get the front eave done today. Can I breathe?
Quilt update: I have to remind myself that I'm going to have a brand-new sewing room and one day I'll get to sew. Forget it for right now.
Family update: Newly married couple are doing wonderful. My food bill shrunk in about half after the wedding! Troy has another stock-show last weekend and won a 2' tall trophy for showmanship --yes..Mama took pictures, they're still in the camera.
Work update: It's still here and still paying the bills. I was upgraded to a new job title. New position, new responsibilites, new supervisor, travel..LOTS of travel, very little more-pay. It's a good job, so I'm not going to gripe..too much anyway.
Farm update: Can you say QUIT RAINING?! We have gotten over 20" in the past 3 months. A lot of our top-soil is in the ditches next to the road. There's a 40% chance of more rain tomorrow. The weeds are taking over the fields because it's too muddy to get out there and work the soil. DH got his 4-wheel drive tractor stuck in the mud, but luckily could get it out with the neighbor's help. Glad I had to go to work that morning!
Next Monday is a holiday. This Friday is the last day of the pay period and I'm maxed out on over-time. It's use or lose and I think I'm going to USE the extra time and take a Friday off! Four day weekends are the best.
Hope somebody is getting to sew 'cause I'm sure not getting to! I can see a paintbrush in my future tho.

Whew! Talk about a lot of changes in your life lately! I can almost feel the energy as the house project whirls to completion. Hope you get that 4-day soon.
Saska, just remember to breathe! It helps clear the head....
I just wanted you to know that I'm finally back to quilting. After 3 months of intensive PT, I tried my hand at piecing and quilting on a longarm, a quilt that I bought the fabric for on the 17th. I'm finishing up the binding now.
In your new LOTS of travels, any chance you can skip up here? You just need your toothbrush and a spare pair of undies, so it should be fairly easy to escape. And we haven't had rain in a while....
It was sunshiney and bright here today and about 72 degrees.
Pace yourself, sweetie. And buy fabric with that food money you're saving before someone else claims it!!!! QUICK!!!!!

I wondered how the house was coming and how soon you thought you might be in. Usual construction snafus, it would seem, picking out the stuff that actually goes in there to make it liveable space. You will probably hear a big "hurray" from bloggerland once we hear that you have that studio set up!
You certainly do have a lot going on. Most of the changes sound good though - rain, kitchen remodeling, job promotion. Even good things cause stress though, and I hope you are taking care of yourself.
I'm following your building project with great interest as we're looking at building within the next year or so. I think I'd rather quilt! ((s)) I hope you do take Friday off and that you have a wonderful 4 day weekend.
Hey! I'm glad you're hanging in there. Kind of nice to know that life gets in the way of quilting for other people too. All things in due time I guess....
Everything worthwhile is worth waiting for. You've been busier than most and there are wonderful things in your future. life is Good, enjoy the process!
How wonderful to be able to look forward to a new sewing space! Congratulations! I know it's frustrating not being able to sew when wanting to, but you certainly have a lot to look forward to.
Hang in there. You'll be able to relax in your sewing room soon, and we'll all be green!!!
Congrats to Troy, and good luck this weekend!
Breathe in, breathe out, breathe in, breathe out....:)
