Dirt Work

What I listened to while sewing this afternoon....DH's tractor moving dirt for the yard. Hopefully, we'll have a decent yard by summer's end.

Rusty through the front-screen window.

This is my major accomplishment for today. 200 of these units made for the mystery quilt I'm working on. They all have to be cut apart and sewn into 3 1/2" hour-glass blocks.
You can see my two quilt-hangers who haven't found a permanent home yet.

These are the two baskets full of the mystery blocks so far. I've learned to pin bunches of 10 together so I can keep count how many have been made. ...yeah, I'm dense and can't count sometimes.

Wow, that's a long chain of triangles. Love your colors.

Nice to have an earth mover when you need it. =)

Your new sewing room floor looks wonderful with a project strewn all over it!! LOL

I think that pinning them into bunches of 10 is a heck of an idea, for projects parts. I wish I'd thought of that, on more than one occasion....

Can't wait to see a manicured lawn, out Rusty's door, this summer. Then, everything will be soooo pretty and new.

Happy New Year, my friend. I wish you all good things.

I see you are doing bonnie's mystery too - and making great progress! I've not had a chance to start step 4.

Did I ever tell you that I lived in Dewey County at one time - for 2.5 years!

I've been visiting the blog of those that have posted on mine because I'm having a little give-way over at my blog to celebrate one year of blogging - no gimicks - just some fun.

At least it's not dirt"y" work!
Glad to see you get some sewing time! :) I can't wait to see this finished beauty too.
Poor Rusty. Please give him a treat from me....he looks so pitiful. ;)

Pinning - yep, that's what the ole diaper pins are good for! LOL

You are very industrious, and the house...and kitchen look fabulous!
We weren't too far behind you on CSI, Sara is under the car in the rain!!! I presume that is what you were talking about! Has yours restarted yet? She didn't look exactly well...but Grissom will save her, surely!!!
Have fun with all those triangles....I would need to pin them as well! Tracey

Hi to you in Oklahoma! Our mystery quilts do indeed look a lot alike!! Don't you just love it? It was weird, I just cut triangles until I was tired, and there were exactly 100 units made!! Pretty neat, actually!

We should get together and compare quilts when we are done!!
