Troy always takes two pigs and usually comes home with at least one ribbon and this year was no exception. Here are a couple of pictures I pulled from the many I took.

I really liked this one because everybody is blurred besides Troy and the judge. Yeah....i meant to do that.haha
I did manage to do some shopping while in Tulsa. There are a couple of nice shops and I visited the Cotton Patch. It's a small shop with lots of stuff packed in to see. Yes...I made a small purchase of a book and some fat quarters.

I took a few days off work to make it a long 6-day weekend, so am planning on NOT making plans!

What a good looking young man you have there! Love the quilt, very pretty. Enjoy your weekend.
Congrats to Troy and the pig! And I do like your 'deliberate' action shot too!
Yeah, Saska, tell us how you managed to take that action shot of Troy in the show ring, LOL. Congrats for the ribbon.
I have an idea that the quilt may be a variation of a stack and whack only the original quilt just shows the fans and them set on point. I think it is in Reynold's "Stack and Whackier" book but also sold as a single pattern. One of my friends has made on in blues that almost made it look like Delft China. There is a specialty wedge ruler involved.

What great shots - that really takes me back into the ring, all the sounds and the atmosphere of the barns; wonderful! Congrats on a Very Fine Pig!
I like the idea of not making plans...especially if I can get others to not invent plans for me!! Enjoy the long weekend!
I like the idea of a 6 day weekend! Congrats to Troy, well done!
Hey, Hay, Hey, there OkieCookie,
Thanks for visiting my blog, and after looking at your blog, I agree that it fits you well. Feel free to use the artwork for your entertainment pleasure.
I was born in OKC, educated there, and later I also lived in Dewey County for 2 1/1 years - near Vici. Our middle daughter was born in Shattuck, America. A few more miles west and she would have been born a Texan - thank the Lord for big favors!
So the land of red dirt is a big part of my life. Check in often - I appreciate the attention.
I wondered how you achieved that effect with the camera!
Congratulations to your son on his prize. I always like going to the Tulsa fair when we lived in Oklahoma. Loved the big driller at Fair Park. As the mom of 3 grown, married children...I don't think life does slow down..at least not yet for us.Our weekly joke is the week is 40% or 50% over...it flies by.Quicker every year.
