Every year our FFA group holds a fundraiser where the kids are auctioned off for a day's worth of work. Some of the parents (yeah, you know who we are) volunteer to make handwork or homecooked (fresh cookies) to also be auctioned off.
This is what I came up with this year:
It's called a BucketBag and I got the directions from Andrea at The Welch Quilter.
If you're not from Oklahoma or one of the surrounding states, you make not "get" the fabric. The Orange/Black is symbolic for Oklahoma State University which is the big Agricultural University in our state. ** It's NOT Halloween fabric**
The directions Andrea has posted are easy to follow along. I think the only thing different I did was to shorten the handles. The next one I make may be made with bigger squares and given as a diaper bag.
Since I'm a week ahead of my deadline, I may make another one!

You are just one step ahead of me. When my arms are healed enough I am going to make a Halloween bag like this. Now you have me sooo excited.
At first, quick glance I thought this was for Halloween, then I looked more closely (trying to recognize which Halloween line of fabric you used) and realized it was an Oklahoma fabric. Its a nice bag, I will check into it, since you say it is easy...
Great bag! I think it will be a hot item at the auction.
Lovely!!!!! Now are you going to make one for yourself? I'm considering making one of these for my Swap Partner in ChookyBlue's Christmas swap.

Well done on being a week ahead! Bags seem to be all the rage with this swap on!
Your bag is wonderful. I am not from OK but I did get the colors...I have a house full of sports fan and know about them all!!!
Nice bag. That one is on my list to do. Did you see the "bagsket" by foofangle? Google it and you will find it or you can email me and I will send you the link!
