House Progress-June

Thank goodness the contractor isn't waiting on us to help him with the house. The framer (contractor's brother) is doing a marvelous job working thru the rain-showers we've had over the past month. Here are some pictures, but just remember this didn't all happen overnight!

How close we are to the old house.

Rusty is already doing a job of watching....yeah, he watches the cats.

Looking thru the house towards the backporch.

Back porch.
Another back porch view.

Old Edmond Brick

We should have roof-shingles this week....if it will quit raining. Brick and windows are going to be installed after that.
AND.....I have actually sewed a little during all this stuff going on in our lives. I'll try to post a pictures of the string-quilt I've put together................later.

What a lovely home this will be. Your photos are wonderful - love the step-by-step progress.

When it's all 'done' will be still be a red dirt farmer? LOL Looks more like you will be country gentlemen farmers!

You have compiled a photo diary of the new house that I am sure you will enjoy looking at in the years to come!

Wow, it's looking like a real house! What a wonderful feeling that must be. You're going to tear down the old one when you move into the new one?

Coming along very nicely! I wondered the same thing as Susan--will the old house be torn down?

I thought of you when I was back in IL--they have put up a bunch of those wind machines there along IL Route 9 since I was last "home". I first spotted the lights as we had arrived at that location after dark and thought that it might be something with the regional airport. My parents set me straight.
