More blocks...

Have been working on keeping up with the Farm Wife Blocks.  It's really just like any other project....do just a little at a time.  A little adds up.   Five minutes here, fifteen there...an afternoon being left alone....now THAT's heaven.  I got up to make sure the phone worked and made sure the back door wasn't locked.  They can't leave me alone that long!I do think I'll make another one of the sunflower-looking blocks in red.  RED is a neutral...right?!

These two blocks were an experiment.  Same pattern, but different colors/values.  The left one looks like how my socks match sometimes.  The one on the right probably goes with the other group better.
If you forgot...the blocks all finish at 6".  So, some of those HST are just 1".

I want to sew...but this little creature keeps me busy a lot.  He's so loveable....and he loves adjusting the knobs on the Bernina....so we go outside instead.

I am lovin' how your blocks are turning out! Sure red is a neutral---green too if you ask me! The total scrappy is working out with your color selections.

I am still debating about doing these in 30's prints---not that I don't have enough of those fabrics but would there be enough contrast in colors. Once I get that decision nailed down and background fabrics purchased, I think I could start.

How old is your little cutie pie now? One of the gals brought her great grand daughter to quilt meeting today. They really liven things up!

I am going to really regret not making this farmer's Wife Quilt, but I'm intimidated by them. Some of them look kind of scary. LOL. Yours are awfully pretty though. And that little monkey is pretty darn cute! Hard to resist a face like that!I'll bet there's always an adventure around the next corner!

Your blocks look great. I'm tempted to make this one but I have so many projects to finish up first. I can relate to your having a little creature around. I have one of those too and they really keep us busy. No time to sew when they are around, huh? They only stay this young once so we have to grab all the Gramma time we can. I know you enjoy your babies as I do. This is such a sweet picture. Have fun!
